A STAR TREK CLUB FOR ALL GENERATIONS
Back in 2006, the USS CORSAIR embarked on its journey at the Sonic on O'Neil in Baton Rouge, amidst the swatting of mosquitoes and sipping of drinks. The ambitious crew set out to revive a STARFLEET chapter in the Baton Rouge area following the decommissioning of the USS KIDD in the late 1990s.
Starting with potlucks and viewing parties, the chapter gained momentum. Sponsored by the regional flagship Aurora Vulcanus, Fleet Captain Trisha Tunis took command—a role she proudly holds to this day.
At the core of the USS Corsair is our deep love for Star Trek, paired with a spirit of service. We translate fan enthusiasm into philanthropic effort—donating time, resources, and raising funds for local charities like the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, the Companion Animal Alliance, and St. Jude.
A vibrant membership is essential for the USS Corsair. Our goal is to provide every member an avenue to connect, whether locally in Louisiana or online worldwide. We proudly boast numerous STARFLEET International Chapter of the Year and Officer of the Year accolades.
