We’re off to New Orleans and GalaxyCon July 11-13th! We’ll be staffing an information table about STARFLEET and signing up new Red Shirts. There’s some fantastic Star Trek guests as well. We’re excited to make the trip and talk Star Trek with NOLA fans.
Talks are underway to figure out where to have the next Captain’s Dinner, since the CO is now out of Sick Bay (for the most part). So what is everyone in the mood for? Burgers? Seafood, Italian?
XO CMDR Gary is putting together a Committee for the Annual Holiday and Awards party. This is the premiere event where we celebrate our crew and their accomplishments.
We will be reaching out to crewmembers for their feedback in what events we should be attending this Fall. Ideas for helping out at Boo at the Zoo, conventions, 5K’s..the list is endless. At the last meeting, we discussed participating in a idea that STARFLEET Tactical put forward. Geocaching! Its an enjoyable scavenger hunt activity. We’ll be looking to schedule a time for this away mission.
Don’t forget the STARFLEET International Conference is in Houston, Texas this year! Running August 1-3rd, the USS Zavala has promised and “out of this world” experience. There are discount tickets to the Space Center, a costumed dinner, and charity auction. To Register, go to ic2025.sfi.org for schedule, meals, and hotel information.
The USS Corsair will be signing up for STARFLEET Science’s First Contact Program! It helps us see what other countries are doing and gives us a chance to share cool facts about our own homes, like the rivers, forests, and oceans we have. We can talk about how we take care of the environment and all the neat projects happening to protect nature. Plus, it’s fun to hear about space programs and the amazing places people go for missions. This way, we can all work together to understand our planet better and maybe even inspire each other to make it a better place!
Be sure to turn in your Mission Briefings! All activities count. So if you visit the new Buck-ee’s-be sure to take a lot of pictures and write all about it.
