Commanding Officer’s Report: Fleet & Administrative Update

ADM Trisha reported on the shifting tides at STARFLEET Command. Fleet Admiral Ryan Case has officially assumed his role as Commander STARFLEET, establishing a new “open door” frequency for all member suggestions. To facilitate direct communication, Vice Commander STARFLEET Richard Sams will be hosting his inaugural quarterly AMA (Ask Me Anything) broadcast on March 1st at 2:00 PM via Facebook—don’t miss your chance to win a Tribble!

The new administration is currently overhauling Fleet Communications to ensure stability across Facebook and Discord, while the Information Services team is deep in development on the new Member Portal. In honor of the upcoming 60th Anniversary of Star Trek, a special department challenge coin is also in development. For a full breakdown of the transition and upcoming initiatives, review the official Command Update.

Auxiliary & Tactical Report: Mission Challenges

The Neutral Zone is active with opportunities to earn ribbons and awards. Members are encouraged to log their monthly activity, including reading, wellness steps, Academy courses, and charity hours. Specifically, the All Auxiliaries Wellness Challenge is open through March 31st, and SF Petfleet is currently accepting entries for this month’s photo contest.

On the tactical front, our Star Trek Online (PC) group is maintaining a high-readiness posture with weekend maneuvers every Saturday at 9:00 PM EST and Sundays at 1:00 PM EST. Additionally, for those who enjoy a battle of wits, Trek Trivia is scheduled for March 1st within the STARFLEET Members Only Facebook Group. If you need assistance enlisting in a specific auxiliary, consult this instructional transmission.

Science Division: Research & Field Operations

CAPT CeeDee reports that the Science department is maintaining a steady cadence of engagement. Following a successful simulation with four participants at the last GameDay, the next tactical simulation at Little Wars is scheduled for March 21st at 4:00 PM.

The division is also preparing for Project Earth on April 25th, an ambitious STARFLEET Sciences initiative that includes a global Summit and a Science Fair held via Gathertown. More details on how to participate in this planetary research mission can be found at the Project Earth hub.

Ship Services: Environmental & Community Action

CMDR Gail has charted our course for Love the Boot Week (April 18-26). The USS Corsair will be volunteering for a coordinated cleanup mission at the East Baton Rouge Parish Library (Goodwood Blvd) on April 25th at 12:30 PM. While we work to keep our “Sportsman’s Paradise” clean, crew members can also participate in the Baton Rouge Region City Nature Challenge by documenting local flora and fauna via the Nature Challenge portal.

Executive Officer’s Report: Region 3 & Corsair News

CAPT Gary highlighted several key upcoming milestones for the crew. We are closely monitoring membership renewals for March 2026 to ensure no one loses access to subspace comms. Looking ahead, our First Contact Day celebration and Awards Presentation will take place on April 4th at the Celebrity Theatre.

Later in the month, on April 26th, we will join the USS Neptune for Fan Fest 2026 at the Bay St. Louis Community Hall. This event, hosted by the Hancock County Library System, is a free mini-con featuring gaming, cosplay, and exhibitors. Full coordinates for this away mission are available here.
