“Space City Houston – Engage!”
STARFLEET IC 2025 will be held in Houston, TX, on August 1 – 3, 2025, hosted by the USS Zavala in Region 3. (And no, that is not the same weekend as Trek Tour Las Vegas.)
Two major airports serve the Houston area: George Bush International Airport (north of town, 40 miles from the hotel), and Hobby International Airport (south, 13 miles from the hotel). Shuttle service is available from both airports but as you can see, Hobby is much closer and will be less expensive to purchase.
IC will be held at the Hilton Houston NASA Clear Lake, 3000 NASA Parkway, Houston, TX 77058. It overlooks Clear Lake and is next door to NASA/Johnson Space Center and Space Center Houston. A group tour of the space center is part of the schedule for the IC.
The hotel does not have a shuttle service. The Hilton has offered free parking to attendees (normally a $9 per day expense).
The Hilton Houston NASA Clear Lake has a guest room block set aside for us at $139.00 plus tax per night for single king or two queens. Handicap accessible rooms are limited so do not delay in reserving one if you need one.
The hotel is ready to take reservations and those must be completed by July 10 to get the special rate. The rate is good for Thursday, July 31, until Monday, August 4. An ECAB meeting will be held on Friday starting at 9:00am and those members will need to come in on Thursday July 31.
Reservations may be made by calling 1-800-HILTONS or 1-281-333-9300. The group block code to use when making reservations by phone is “STARFLEET International Conference,”.
Adult IC Registration is $50.00 until April 30, May 1 – July 20th $55, with the at-door registration at $60.00. Cadet registration price is $25.00. A Marine Dress Mess will be held Friday evening, and the Admiral’s Banquet on Saturday evening. The price for either meal is $60.00 for adults and $30.00 for Cadets 12 and under (deadline July 20). All advance purchase group tour tickets for Space Center Houston are $22.00 (that’s half the regular price) and must be purchased also by July 20.
This is an election year for CS/VCS and a “Meet the Candidates” session is planned. Select portions of the IC will be live-streamed.
Houston is the fourth largest city in the United States. It’s a very diverse city and has many attractions for visitors. The USS Zavala and Region 3 look forward to welcoming you to Space City Houston
