April 2022 Crew Meeting

Commanding Officer’s Report: VADM Trisha

Welcome aboard Crewman Gary T and Crewman Edward B! And returning from deep space is LTCMDR Derrek K!
Region 3 Summit is in June. Location is Beaumont, Texas so it’s not the other side of the state! Would love to see a large turnout. Deadline for meals and hotel room reservation is May 10. There are some crew members aboard the USS CORSAIR up for some awards-let’s cheer them on!
Be sure to fill out the Mission Briefing Form. The way to be recognized with awards, promotions, and a ticker tape parade is to let us know you did something!
As suggested, we will be moving to a quarterly in person meeting schedule. I’ll coordinate with the EBR Jones Creek Library. June/September/
Wednesday night video streaming is on hold.
Save the dates: Ice Cream Crawl May 14th, Excursion to Blue Zoo Aquarium and Main Event at the Mall of Louisiana June 11th. If we can get a group of 13 people together, we can get a discount at the Blue Zoo.
Please let me know if you’re interested in doing an Escape Room in July.

Relay for Life Tangi-it appears is is no more. We’ll have to find a new Relay to participate in if we want to do this in the future.
Coordinating an away mission to go see Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.

Mondays-doing online trivia games on the Region 3 server. There’s talk of expanding it to Wednesday nights as well and doing Among Us.
Virtual IC is coming in August. Using an application called “Gathertown”. Think Minecraft as a convention venue.
