USS Corsair Ship’s Log: Stardate 2026.10.22 – Fleet Briefings & Away Missions

PADD Transmissions Received… Accessing Captain’s Log.

Greetings, crew! Another stellar chapter meeting has logged into the archives aboard the USS Corsair. We gathered in the briefing room to review the latest data streams from Starfleet Command, our regional sectors, and right here on our own deck. If you missed out on the live subspace transmission, here is a narrative debrief of everything our crew discussed.

## Starfleet Command: Portals, Perks, and Progress

The broader fleet has been buzzing with digital revivals and exciting updates across the quadrants. First off, the STARFLEET Members Portal (members.sfi.org) is officially back online. Crew personnel can now seamlessly access governing documents, check service records, and view commendations. Alongside it, the STARFLEET Fandom Academy (Moodle) is fully operational once more, sparking a massive wave of academy course completions across the fleet. Meanwhile, the new Quartermaster Store website has been fully constructed, and inventory data is currently being manually re-entered ahead of its official re-launch.

For those looking ahead to our major interstellar gatherings, the formal bid for IC 2027 is currently before the Admiralty Board for a vote, with an official announcement targeted for November 1st. Planning for IC 2028 is also impressively well underway at 90% completion and will be reviewed shortly.

On the perks and training front:

  • Uniform Requisitions: A brand-new uniform alternative perk has been secured through TrekCosplay.com and added to our database.

  • Subspace Office Hours: Membership Services continues to hold weekly office hours every Sunday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM EST right in the Fleet Discord voice channel.

  • Academy Protocols: Ensigns and cadets hitting the books are reminded to cap active courses at a maximum of 10 per college at a time, waiting for final grades to post to the database before enrolling in more. Plus, don’t forget that the Commandant’s 60th Anniversary Challenge ongoing topic for October focuses on The Starships of Star Trek (utilizing courses from the College of Starship Design or Operations).

## Operations, Gaming, and Regional Rumblings

Our fleet operations are firing on all thrusters. STARFLEET Tactical has brought back its Friday night Twitch broadcasts and is rolling full steam ahead with Saturday Star Trek Online simulations and tactical tabletop gaming groups. STARFLEET Sciences wrapped up successful virtual watch parties with more collaborative science initiatives on the horizon, and the Tactical Auxiliary has launched a handy new self-reporting form to streamline gaming activity and award tracking.

Closer to home, work on the Region 3 Summit bid is narrowing down, with potential coordinates whittled down to a final three locations. Right here on the Corsair, we are also working on updating and revising our Section Chief job descriptions to keep shipboard operations running at peak efficiency.

## Upcoming Away Missions & Socials

Our department leads brought some fantastic shore leave ideas to the table to keep our social calendar packed:

  • GameDay at Little Wars: Life/Sciences reported a great turnout of 8 officers at our last in-person meetup. Our next tactical GameDay is locked in for the third Saturday in November—November 21st at 4:00 PM at Little Wars.

  • Pirate Weekend at the Ren Faire: The Starfleet Marines have recommended an away mission back to the Renaissance Faire for Pirate Weekend on November 14th–15th.

  • Star Trek Escape Room: The Marines also pitched organizing a holo-deck style escape room experience (built for 1–6 players, lasting 1–2 hours), potentially hosted right after a short in-person ship meeting.

End of log. Dismissed.
